Press Release - Monkdogz Urban Art Gallery Look Exhibition
As the Twentieth Century unfolded, a number of prominent artists/ photographers such as Stiglitz, Steichen, Weston, and Szarkowski endeavored to ensure photography was promoted to its proper place in the fine arts world. Over the years, with the development of new equipment and technology, the art of photography has taken many different roads and it has afforded generations the opportunity to discover not only themselves but the extraordinary world and its complexities that surround them.
The basic and timeless principle that separates extraordinary images and their impact on the individual from the merely average or mundane has always been the hand of the artist. Whether moving a brush, chisel, or applying pressure to a shutter button the artists are the ones who engage and seduce the hearts and minds of the viewer.
